Laboratory Technician Pre-Apprenticeship (Certificate)
The Laboratory Technician Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate will prepare students to enter the Chemistry Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship Program (a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship). Student entering the Chemistry Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship Program must be able to demonstrate basic familiarity and competency in biology, chemistry, laboratory operations and activity prior to beginning their apprenticeship.

University Requirements
- Complete the required courses for the certificate;
- Earn half of certificate requirements at Missouri Western State University;
- Earn an overall GPA of at least 2.0;
- Earn a major GPA of at least 2.0;
- Earn 9 of the last 15 credit hours at MWSU in institutional coursework (exclusive of credit by examiniation); and
- Participate in required departmental and campus-wide assessments.
