International Student Admission

International Students (F1)

  1. To be admitted in this category, applicants must:
  2. Complete the Application for Admission 
  3. Pay the $50 application fee
  4. Provide Proof of English language proficiency. Criteria may be met by submitting ONE of the following tests demonstrating a score that meets or exceeds the minimum requirement indicated below:

    TOEFL (taken before 1/21/26) 61
    TOEFL (taken 1/21/26 or later) 3.5

    Pearson's Test of English (PTE) 44
    Duolingo English Test (DET) 95
    iTEP 3.7
  5. Official Evaluated Transcripts from each secondary school. If the student has completed secondary coursework outside of the U.S., they must have a course-by-course analysis credential evaluation completed by a NACES-accredited organization. The evaluation will be used to determine U.S. education equivalency. The original transcript must be included with the credential evaluation.
  6. International students transferring from other U.S. colleges or universities must request final official transcripts from each institution to determine eligibility.

    If the student completed post-secondary coursework outside of the U.S., they must have a course-by-course analysis credential evaluation completed by a NACES-accredited organization. The evaluation will be used to determine U.S. education equivalency. The original transcript must be included with the credential evaluation.

Missouri Western will issue a Form I-20 once the applicant has been accepted for admission, submitted the Financial Support Form and verification of financial resources, and provided a copy of the biographical page of the passport.  

Misrepresenting or Falsifying Information

Any student who misrepresents, falsifies or withholds required information will be referred to the Admissions and Graduation Committee for review and appropriate action. Such action may result in being denied admission to Missouri Western or immediate dismissal from Missouri Western. The University reserves the right to investigate and review the records of any prospective student to determine the applicant's eligibility to enroll.
